Session Title: Exploring the Cadillac
Description: At age 70 Mary’s Pilates practice changed and began anew. In previous years she directed her practice toward working with the mind, but found a new focus learning to work within the Spine and the rest of the body. Using her own body on the Cadillac Mary will demonstrate her evolution in Pilates, from her practice and teaching of Pilates over 57 years. Mary will explore a variety of exercises on the Cadillac using the new focus of the body instead of the mind.

Description: Working with clients who have injuries doesn't have to be scary. In this discussion, we will cover resources and strategies you can use when working with some of the more common injuries including, back, knee, hip, and shoulder issues. Session Title: Pilates Reformer- Flexibility vs. Stability
Description: This course addresses the assessment of both hyper-mobility and rigidity and how to correct problems and imbalances. The class helps you to correctly balance core movements and functionally re-train core and spinal muscles. The class teaches how to modify movements for the individual needs of each client and provide the essential support to maximize and stabilize the movements through a complete program of exercises. Get an indepth understanding of the how to approach the same exercises with a different focus to achieve different results. We will perform the same exercises with a change of focus and body awareness to feel the differences we can make in our own bodies and our clients alignment.

Description: Evidence is growing every day to support the positive role of exercise or breast cancer patients and survivors. Physical activity improves both function and mental well being. Activity -- even modest activity – can improve inner strength and decrease the risk for recurrence. Exercise helps restore ease of movement and strength needed for daily activities. An active program helps rebuild endurance and regain energy to fight fatigue.
